On July 18, 2018, Xilinx, the world's largest programmable chip (FPGA) manufacturer, announced the acquisition of Shenjian Technology, a star start-up company in China's AI chip field. AI chip start-ups, known as "China Nvidia", will continue to operate in its Beijing office. The transaction amount and details have not been announced yet. On October 27, 2020, AMD agreed to acquire Xilinx (Xilinx) in the form of stock transaction at a value of 35 billion US dollars. AMD expects the transaction to be completed by the end of 2021.
